Meet Dr. Braswell

Anthony Braswell, M.D.
Fellowship Trained Plastic Surgeon
Dallas, TX

Dr. Braswell is a board certified plastic surgeon who recently retired from the U.S. Army.  Originally from Grapevine, TX, Dr. Braswell attended Auburn University on an R.O.T.C. scholarship.  He then returned to his home state for medical school in San Antonio, where he met his wife on the first day of class.  During the second year of his general surgery residency at the Army’s flagship hospital in San Antonio, he had his first exposure to plastic and reconstructive surgery.  Unfortunately, the need for trauma surgeons in the Army for the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq dictated Dr. Braswell’s surgical practice.  Ten years and four combat deployments later, the Army sponsored Dr. Braswell to enter a civilian plastic surgery residency in NYC.  After training, he served for 5 years as the Chief of Plastics and Reconstruction at the Army hospital at Fort Hood, TX.  After 20 years of Active Duty, he was able to retire from the Army and enter private practice, but he realized that he was at a disadvantage to his civilian counterparts.  Therefore, Dr. Braswell enrolled in the H/K/B aesthetic surgery fellowship program to help him transition from an Army reconstructive plastic surgeon to a civilian cosmetic plastic surgeon.
