As we all sit down to our Thanksgiving meals this year, let’s take some time to recollect on the many things we are each thankful for. Here at H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery + MedSpa we are eternally grateful for our wonderful patients and the opportunities we have to beautify their worlds every day. We also give thanks for the plastic surgery field and the wealth of blessings and opportunities it brings to our patients every day.
What aspects of the plastic surgery field are we most grateful for? There’s too many to count, but let’s take a look at a few.
Thankful for High Standards and the Organizations that Uphold Them
Choosing the right surgeon is essential with any plastic surgery procedure. We recommend always working with a board certified plastic surgeon, not just a general surgeon or cosmetic surgeon. We are grateful for the many organizations that provide education, training, and support to plastic surgeons. When we set high standards and focus on learning and growing as an industry everyone in the plastic surgery field benefits from surgeons and nurses to each of our patients. Here are a few of the organizations we are grateful for this year:
- The American Board of Plastic Surgery– Before choosing a plastic surgeon make sure they’re board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. To qualify for this honor a surgeon must have at least 5 years of surgical training with at least 2 specifically focused on plastic surgery. This organization helps set highly trained plastic surgeons apart from general surgeons that are offering cosmetic procedures.
- American Society of Plastic Surgeons– We are proud to be members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, one of the largest plastic surgery societies in the world. Their website is a great tool for patients wanting to learn more about specific procedures and for those that are looking for a highly trained and skilled board certified plastic surgeon.
- American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery– An organization at the forefront of aesthetic plastic surgery in the world, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery focuses on medical education, patient safety, and more. Grateful for Physicians with High Levels of Integrity
You’ve certainly heard jokes about plastic surgery gone wrong and it breaks our hearts each and every time. We love the plastic surgery industry and know how transformative a properly done surgery can truly be. Breast implants can transform a woman that has always struggled with small or misshapen breasts and hair transplantation can restore confidence to a man or woman with thinning hair. We’ve seen what plastic surgery can do and want each of our patients to experience the top notch results we are known for. We are grateful for physicians with high levels of integrity that are committed to providing the best care to their patients. Bad plastic surgery does happen, but when you choose your surgeon carefully, it doesn’t have to.
