What’s the most popular cosmetic treatment? In our practice, patient favorite treatments include breast augmentation, the Brazilian butt lift, and CoolSculpting, but one treatment overshadows even our most requested treatments in popularity. Botox is the reigning champ of the cosmetic enhancement industry. In 2016, more than 7 million Botox treatments were performed in the U.S., more than any year previous. Why is Botox the top cosmetic treatment, year after year? Learn more about Botox and popular Botox treatment areas below and then call our offices to schedule your first treatment.

Minimally Invasive, Maximally Effective

Minimally invasive cosmetic treatments are in. Our patients want to rejuvenate, but when possible, they want to avoid scars, incisions, and downtime. Botox is a minimally invasive treatment, which means that it isn’t a surgical procedure. Recovery times are shorter and no incisions are needed.
Botox may be minimally invasive, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t effective. Botox does an excellent job of smoothing wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and brow. Results appear in 2-3 days and last 4-6 months.

Anti-Aging for Busy People

Who has time for downtime? Life is busy and our patients don’t have time to sit around recovering from procedures on a regular basis. Botox is the anti-aging solution for a busy lifestyle. The treatment takes about 15 minutes and you can return to work and other activities immediately. Many of our patients choose to come in on their lunch for treatment. You can return to work and other activities immediately. A short treatment with no downtime makes Botox a top pick for our busiest patients.
Botox also pairs well with surgical procedures. Come in for a facelift and then use Botox to maintain a youthful look after treatment. Some patients use Botox to delay invasive surgical procedures until its more convenient with their schedule. With Botox you can be busy and beautiful.

Men Love Botox Too

We all know that women love Botox, but what about the men? Botox is so popular amongst men that male Botox has earned itself the nickname “Brotox”. Men love that they can subtly rejuvenate without missing work. A few small injections can relax stubborn wrinkles, giving men an ageless, masculine look. Since Botox requires no downtime, there’s no need to miss work. Results are subtle, but noticeable. Tell the world about your Botox or keep it secret, it’s up to you.

No Frozen Faces Here

Many first time Botox patients worry about looking fake or frozen after treatment. They’ve seen jokes on TV about expressionless faces after Botox. You will see a difference in your appearance after Botox, but it will be a subtle, natural looking difference. Botox works by relaxing the muscles that cause certain types of wrinkles. Since we use only a small amount of product, you’ll still be able to make normal facial expressions. The big difference with Botox is that you’ll no longer make the repetitive expressions, like squinting or furrowing the brows, that push and wrinkle the skin. These expressions are often subconscious and not done on purpose. A little relaxation in these muscles can make a dramatic difference in your appearance.

Maintain Your Look with a Quick Retreatment

If you love your post-Botox look, and we’re sure you will, you can maintain your look with a quick retreatment every few months. We’ll work out a treatment schedule with you so you know when you’ll need to come back in. Many of our Botox patients find that their results last longer and get better with each subsequent treatment.

Few Side Effects

There are few side effects after Botox. Redness, bruising, tenderness, and swelling in the treatment area are common. These effects are typically short-lived and usually resolve in a day or two after treatment. Occasionally eyelid droop may occur. This happens because the Botox solution migrated to a new area shortly after treatment. You can reduce your chances for this unwanted side effect by not rubbing the treatment area for at least 12 hours and not lying down for at least 3-4 hours.

Don’t Forget About Dysport

We love Botox at H/K/B, but it isn’t the only botulinum toxin treatment we offer. In addition to Botox, we use Dysport to help treat stubborn dynamic wrinkles around the eyes and on the brows. Dysport is very similar to Botox with a few distinct differences that may be advantageous to some patients. Dysport has a larger spread area, giving us more control over the final result you’ll achieve. It also works well on patients that are immune or allergic to Botox. When you come in for your first treatment, we’ll help you decide if Botox or Dysport is the best fit for your situation.

Best Treatment Areas for Botox

When we age, imperfections on our face become more prominent. Wrinkles and creases become more noticeable, and we lose our once smooth skin. Most people can prolong their youthful looks with botox. With the face being the most popular area to get botox injections, there are a couple of facial areas that botox treats the best.
There’s a reason that Botox is one of our top cosmetic treatments. Come in and see the stunning results for yourself.
