Juvéderm

Juvéderm® is a prescription dermal filler used to smooth out superficial facial wrinkles. It is also used to add volume to areas of the face that may be fat depleted or simply need a little boost. Juvéderm, a hyaluronic acid gel injection, can be used in the lips, nasolabial folds, marrionette lines and cheeks.

Hyaluronic acid is a slowly absorbing substance which is naturally present in the dermis and maintains the hydration of tissues. Acting very naturally but not irreversibly, your lips regain their sensuality and your face its smooth curves. When injected into the apples of the cheeks, Juvéderm can create a more youthful appearance.

There is no preliminary testing required for Juvéderm. With a simple injection, minor imperfections and signs of aging are evenly softened. Side effects, rare and usually mild to moderate, lasted 7 days or less and included temporary injection site reactions like redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bruising.

Juverderm Voluma XC

As you age, it’s not just about lines and wrinkles. Your cheeks also lose volume and the skin may sag. Juverderm Voluma XC adds volume and creates contour and a subtle lift instantly while restoring a more youthful profile.

Juvederm Voluma XC contains a modified hyaluronic acid (HA) made from naturally occurring complex sugar and is a nonsurgical treatment and injected under the skin using a fine needle. To reduce discomfort during the procedure, Juvederm Voluma XC contains an anesthetic called Lidocain.

With optimal treatment, Juvederm Voluma XC can last upto 2 years.

Juvederm Volbella XC

Some women may wish to add subtle volume to their lips, others may want to soften the appearance of the vertical line above them. Lines such as these are often caused by factors such as sun exposure or repeated muscle movement.

Juvederm Volbella XC adds subtle volume to lips, softens the appearance of vertical lip lines and with optimal treatment can last up to 1 year. Juvederm Volbella XC will give you results that everyone will notice but no one will know.

Part of The Restylane Family

H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery offers all of the Restylane family of fillers. Restylane is the smart and easy way to add volume and smoothness to your skin. Restylane is a crystal-clear gel derived from a natural substance called hyaluronic acid that restores volume and fullness to the skin. It is an excellent product for lip augmentation, facial wrinkles, and folds, such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. When enhancing lips or facial contours, Restylane adds volume and shape to the treated area. Results are instantaneous and produce a natural enhancement that lasts up to six months.

Restylane Silk

We’re proud to introduce Restylane Silk, a hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the lips and soften the appearance of wrinkles around the mouth. Restylane Silk’s advanced formulation offers precise lip contouring and wrinkle reduction.

As you get older, your lips and the lines around your mouth will show increased signs of aging. These signs often include lips diminishing, vanished shape and a surge in vertical lines above the lip. Restylane Silk is designed to provide subtle, natural results in this facial area by using smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those in other Restylane products.

Revance RHA Dermal Fillers

The latest generation of dermal filler technology is here, and H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery is proud to be one of only a select few in the country to offer this state-of-the-art injectable dermal filler.

The RHA® Collection of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers by Revance are FDA-approved to address a previously unmet need in the filler market: dynamic folds & wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles and folds occur in areas of the face that move repetitively. Your face is dynamic, making millions facial expressions each and every day. These areas can sometimes be difficult to treat because injecting fillers may cause the area to appear stiff or unnatural when the face moves.

RHA designer fillers are not available to all practices that provide injectables – Revance RHA fillers are available to only a very exclusive group of aesthetic practices nationwide that are able to provide the very best in aesthetic technology, expertise, and results. We are proud to offer this as one of our dermal fillers at H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery.

Collagen Stimulating Fillers

As we age, our bodies produce less and less collagen. In addition, we also experience facial bone loss which can make the structural framework of the face begin to weaken and lose shape and contour. The result of these aging factors is sagging of the overlying soft tissue and skin, causing folds, lines, wrinkles and concerns such as jowling. Thanks to advancements in injectables, we now have a solution to these common aging problems: injectable collagen stimulating fillers.

By stimulating our bodies ability to produce and replace lost collagen, we can reverse the signs of aging in the face by improving overall facial structure. Collagen stimulating fillers are different from dermal fillers in a few ways. Dermal fillers volumize the face immediately by “filling in” lines, creases, and tissues with hyaluronic acid gel.

You can immediately enhance the areas such as lips, cheeks, and nasolabial folds with results lasting between 6-12 months. They are easily reversed if you have an adverse reaction or asymmetrical result, and give patients a sense of immediate satisfaction.

On the other hand, biostimulating fillers such as Radiesse® filler (with calcium hydroxylapatite) or Sculptra™Aesthetics (with poly-L-lactic acid) stimulate collagen production over time, creating a gradual improvement in facial volumization and even enhancing skin quality. Furthermore, it’s important to note that dermal fillers do not stimulate the production of collagen.

Collagen stimulating fillers are great for restoring volume to large areas of the face versus specific areas that might need targeted enhancement – some commonly treated areas are the mid-face, the cheeks and temple, and even the jawline and neck.

Why is collagen loss important? Collagen gives our skin “snap,” structure and support, especially against aging and wrinkling. And although it may be subtle, bone structure loss is important too – it can be a big contributor to an aging appearance because it’s the framework for the fat, collagen, and skin of our faces. When collagen and bone structure start to diminish, the once youthful areas of our face can look much older than they really are.

Collagen stimulating fillers can help rebuild the collagen matrix, helping your body create its own natural tissues.

Sculptra Injections

Sculptra® is an FDA approved injectable collagen stimulating filler used to treat wrinkles and deep nasolabial folds. This non-surgical treatment contains poly-L- lactic acid which is used in multiple treatments to replace lost collagen. Sculptra injections work gradually and overtime restores volume to your face leaving you with a youthful looking appearance. The results of Sculptra injections and treatment can last up to two years.

Dermal Filler FAQS

Dermal fillers are injectable substances used to plump up areas of the face that have lost volume due to aging. They work by filling in wrinkles, lines, and hollow areas to create a smoother and more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are typically made of hyaluronic acid, collagen, or synthetic materials.
On the other hand, Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily paralyzes the muscles that cause wrinkles, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. While both dermal fillers and Botox are commonly used for facial rejuvenation, they work in different ways. Dermal fillers add volume to the face, while Botox relaxes muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
In summary, dermal fillers are used to plump up the skin, while Botox is used to relax muscles.

Discover the key components in our popular dermal fillers Restylane and Versa. These fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps in maintaining hydration and firmness. This ingredient is renowned for its ability to plump up the skin, reduce fine lines, and restore lost volume. With Restylane and Versa, you can expect safe and effective results that leave you looking refreshed and rejuvenated. Say hello to smoother, more youthful skin with these advanced dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid. Welcome to a world of natural beauty enhancement with Restylane or Versa.

Dermal fillers can help enhance facial features, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume, and improve skin texture. The specific filler you need depends on your goals and the area you want to target. For example, hyaluronic acid fillers like Versa and Restylane are popular choices for adding volume and reducing lines, while calcium hydroxylapatite fillers like Radiesse are great for stimulating collagen production. To determine which filler is best for you, it’s recommended to consult with a qualified Bella Glo provider who can assess your needs and recommend the most suitable option.

Dermal fillers are commonly used to enhance facial contours, reduce wrinkles, and restore volume to aging skin. The most common areas suitable for dermal fillers include the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, temples, and tear troughs. Dermal fillers can also be used to plump up thin lips, define the jawline, and improve the appearance of scars. It’s important to consult with a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to determine the best areas for dermal filler injections based on your individual needs and goals.

The results from dermal fillers typically last between 9 months to 2 years, depending on the type of filler used and individual metabolism. To maintain optimal results, it is recommended to have follow-up treatments every 6-12 months. However, this can vary based on factors such as the area treated, lifestyle habits, and the desired outcome. It’s important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider to determine the best treatment plan for your specific needs.

Generally, most patients report feeling only minimal discomfort during dermal filler injections. The procedure involves the use of a fine needle to inject the filler beneath the skin’s surface, which may cause a slight stinging or pricking sensation. However, Bella Glo uses topical numbing agents or injectable anesthetics to minimize any pain or discomfort. Additionally, some fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing agent, which can further reduce any discomfort during the treatment. Overall, while pain tolerance levels vary among individuals, most find the sensation to be tolerable and well worth the aesthetic results achieved with dermal fillers. It’s essential to discuss any concerns about pain management with your healthcare provider before the procedure.

After dermal filler treatment, you may experience some temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, or bruising, which typically subside within a few days. However, many people are able to resume their daily activities, including work, immediately after the procedure. If you experience any discomfort or noticeable swelling, you may want to consider taking it easy for the rest of the day. It’s also recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, and excessive sun exposure in the first 24-48 hours post-treatment to ensure optimal results. Remember to follow post-treatment care instructions for the best outcome.

Yes, dermal fillers are designed to enhance your natural features and provide a subtle, youthful-looking appearance. Bella Glo Medspa practitioners will work with you to achieve a natural look that enhances your beauty without looking overdone. The key is to communicate your desired outcome and work with your injector to create a customized treatment plan that suits your individual needs. Dermal fillers can help restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours for a refreshed and rejuvenated look that still looks like you. Trust the expertise of your injector and discuss any concerns you may have to ensure you achieve natural-looking results that boost your confidence.
