A Halo laser treatment works by delivering two types of laser energy in a single pass. The ablative component refreshes the outermost layer of skin while the non-ablative energy penetrates deeper to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This dual approach allows providers to customize the intensity based on each patient’s skin concerns and goals. Treatments are commonly performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands, especially in areas affected by sun damage, discoloration, or acne scarring. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes, and many patients begin seeing early improvements in skin brightness and texture within the first few weeks.
Recovery Time
Healing after Halo hybrid laser resurfacing is generally quicker than traditional resurfacing treatments. Most patients experience redness, warmth, and a light sandpaper-like texture for several days as the skin renews itself. Tiny dark spots may appear temporarily as pigmentation rises to the surface and sheds naturally. Social downtime is usually two to five days, depending on treatment depth. As collagen remodeling continues beneath the skin, improvements in tone, smoothness, and overall radiance develop progressively over the following weeks.
