What to Expect?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The procedure is performed in-office and is customized to target concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, and overall skin texture. A topical numbing agent is typically applied to enhance comfort during treatment.
Following microneedling, your skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This is a normal response and typically subsides within a day or two. As your skin heals, you’ll notice gradual improvements in texture and tone, with continued results developing over time. Your provider will guide you on how to care for your skin to optimize your outcome.
Recovery Time
Healing after microneedling is typically quick, with most patients returning to normal activities within 24–48 hours. Immediately following treatment, your skin may appear red and feel warm or slightly tight, similar to a mild sunburn. Some sensitivity and light flaking can occur as the skin begins its natural renewal process.
Over the next few days, it’s important to keep your skin hydrated and protected while avoiding harsh products and excessive sun exposure. Your provider will give you personalized aftercare instructions to support healing and enhance your results.
