Chemical Peels

H/K/B Med Spa is pleased to offer the latest solutions in chemical peels for aging, dull, dry, or damaged skin. Our practice is excited to offer various chemical peel options such as, SkinMedica (Vitalize, Illuminize and Rejuvenize peels), the Cosmelan® peel by Mesoestetic®, and many more customized solutions designed to target your specific skin needs and goals. The benefits include fading of pigmented areas, decreased surface roughness, and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. With a tailor-made approach, your provider will hand-select a specific combination of acids and exfoliants to help achieve optimal skin health.

H/K/B Med Spa peels are safe to use with various levels of peeling and will dramatically improve the quality of your complexion. For most patients, an in-depth skin health consultation may be required, and a series of 3 peels within 2-3 months may be recommended for optimal results.

What to Expect?

Chemical peels are designed to exfoliate the skin and accelerate cell turnover, improving tone, texture, and overall clarity. The treatment is customized based on your skin type and concerns, with varying strengths ranging from light to deeper peels. It is performed in-office and typically takes less than an hour, depending on the level of treatment.

Following the peel, you may experience redness, dryness, and peeling as the skin renews itself. The intensity and duration of this process will vary based on the depth of the peel. As the skin heals, you’ll notice a smoother, brighter complexion, and your provider will guide you on how to care for your skin to maintain your results.

Recovery Time

Healing after a chemical peel varies depending on the depth of the treatment, with light peels requiring little downtime and deeper peels involving several days of visible peeling. In the first few days, you may experience redness, dryness, and flaking as the skin begins to renew itself. This is a normal part of the process that reveals a smoother, more refreshed complexion.

As your skin heals, it’s important to keep it well-hydrated and protected, especially from sun exposure. You’ll be advised to use gentle skincare and avoid picking or peeling the skin. Your provider will give you detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing and enhance your results.
