Approximately 35% of the body is comprised of muscle. Muscles that are used frequently are strong and sculpted. Muscles that are used less often may have an undefined look. Exercise is an effective option for some patients, but we find that many of our patients simply cannot devote the time necessary to achieve the levels of muscle definition they desire.

That’s where EmSculpt comes into play. This treatment uses non-invasive HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) technology to induce muscle contraction. These contractions are stronger and more frequent than those achieved naturally. The intensity and frequency of these muscle contractions force the muscle tissues to adapt rapidly. The muscle tissues become more abundant and develop a more sculpted appearance. The average patient experiences a 16% increase in muscle mass after EMSCULPT.

EmSculpt offers other benefits too. As the muscles are stimulated, metabolism is boosted. This reduces the fat layer while the muscle layer increases. What to Expect?

EmSculpt treatments are performed in a treatment room at H/K/B. A typical treatment takes 30 minutes, and most patients will require 4 or more treatment sessions. We space each treatment a few days apart, giving the muscle time to heal before the next treatment session.

During treatment, the EmSculpt device is placed on the treatment area and activated. HIFEM energy is applied to contract the desired muscle areas. This device creates involuntary contractions, up to 20,000 muscle contractions in just 30 minutes. EMSCULPT treatment works the muscles without damaging the skin. No cuts or incisions are needed.

Recovery Time

Recovery after Emsculpt requires little to no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities immediately following treatment. You may feel muscle soreness similar to an intense workout, along with mild tenderness in the treated area as the muscles contract and strengthen. These effects are temporary and typically resolve within a day or two.

In the days following treatment, you can continue your regular routine while your muscles adapt and build strength. Your provider will recommend a series of treatments and provide guidance to help you achieve optimal toning and sculpting results.
