Dr. Kao is a Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.

He is board-certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Kao specializes exclusively in cosmetic surgery of the face and neck. His most common procedures performed are facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty surgeries.

Dr. Kao completed a highly prestigious facial plastic surgery fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, training under Dr. Dean Toriumi in Chicago, Illinois. He served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He has authored 11 peer-reviewed journal articles, as well as three textbook chapters.

Dr. Kao is dedicated to providing long-term aesthetic and functional outcomes in all facial plastic surgery procedures. He has exceptional attention to detail, and completely performs his own surgery without a surgical fellow or physician assistant. Dr. Kao regularly limits his surgical schedule to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients.
