What Can I Expect During A Facelift?
Besides full facelifts, we provide the MACS Lift, a 90-minute procedure with a week or less of recovery time. This technique doesn’t involve a behind-ear incision, leaving no visible scar. For neck improvement, we often include a Platysmaplasty to tighten and remove neck bands, which can be paired with full facelifts or MACS Lifts.
Revision facelifts might be more complex due to prior scarring. We’ll address all your questions so you know what to expect, ensuring you’re prepared and confident for your surgery.
What Can I Expect During a MACS Lift?
Besides a full face lift, we offer our extremely popular MACS Lift procedure, which only takes 90 minutes and has a typical recovery of one week or less. There is no incision behind the ear, which is a fantastic improvement over traditional facelifts, as it leaves no visible scar. To improve the appearance of the neck along with the facelift, a procedure called Platysmaplasty is often performed. This procedure tightens and removes the “turkey-gobbler” bands on the neck. This “neck lifting” procedure is frequently combined with a full face lift, but can also be performed along with a MACS Lift.
If you are receiving a “revision face lift” to correct a previous facelift, the procedure is sometimes more complex because there may be abnormal scarring from the first operation. We will answer all of your questions and tell you exactly what you can expect before, during, and after your facelift so that there are no surprises. Whether you are getting a full face lift, a MACS lift, or a revision face lift, you will be able to show up for your surgery feeling prepared and confident.

How Long Does it Take to Recover From Concord Facelift Surgery?
Depending on the type of facelift procedure you choose, the recovery time will vary from 1-2 weeks. There will be some bruising and swelling after a facelift, but these symptoms will fade as your face and neck heal. Pain and discomfort can be easily controlled with medication during your recovery period. Your head will likely be bandaged after the procedure, and you will need to keep your head elevated for the first few days. You should also avoid strenuous activities for about two weeks. Of course, we will monitor your progress and answer any questions you have during your recovery period.
The longevity of a facelift is typically 7-9 years.
