What Can I Expect During Fat Grafting for The Buttocks?
During a Brazilian butt lift, liposuction and fat grafting can be performed on an outpatient basis using general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation at our fully accredited surgical facility on our beautiful campus, where our highly qualified nurses will pamper you. In the liposuction portion of the process, an incision is made on the part of the body where the fat will be removed, and a tube called a cannula is inserted. A vacuum-like device is attached to the cannula, and suction carefully removes the appropriate amount of fat.
The fat is then carefully processed. The resulting fat is very smooth in texture so that it will look perfectly natural when re-injected into the buttocks using a small atraumatic cannula
Since your own tissue is used, there are no issues with rejection. No lengthy incisions are necessary with this procedure, and the incisions can be closed with delicate dissolving sutures that leave the finest of scars.

Autologous Buttock Augmentation
The buttock augmentation can be performed alongside Brazilian buttock lifts to create an augmented appearance. This procedure is particularly helpful for patients who lack volume in the area or where the majority of their buttock volume lies within the excess skin and tissue to be removed. We offer two types of augmentation: the autologous flap and the pursestring gluteoplasty.
With the autologous flap, the buttock padding is lifted to a more youthful position and is sutured into place. During a pursestring gluteoplasty, a suture is placed around the circumference of each buttock pad and is tightened to provide the desired projection. The result with both of these procedures is a lifted, more natural and youthful contour. The method that is right for you is determined during your consultation.

A buttock implant gives you the perky curves you have always wanted, without using liposuction techniques. Patients who want improved curves or who simply feel their buttocks are too flat can achieve the figure they want with implants. In some cases, fat grafts or techniques such as autologous buttocks augmentation may be sufficient. For others, an implant will provide the result they want.
Butt implants may be recommended for patients who do not have sufficient excess fat to be harvested and re-injected for fat grating or BBL. At H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery, when we insert a buttock implant, we also remove any lax skin from the buttocks and perform fat grafting as necessary to further contour the buttocks and ensure the implant cannot be seen through the skin.
Buttock Lift | Buttock Augmentation Recovery
You must sit very cautiously for the first few weeks. We generally recommend avoiding pressure on the buttocks for two weeks. You can return to work in about two weeks or when you’re comfortable. There will be swelling, bruising, and soreness in both the buttocks and the area where the fat was harvested for the grafts. Swelling may take up to six months to fully resolve, but we will give you a compression garment to wear that will help to keep swelling to a minimum.
Strenuous activities should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. Of course, we will monitor your progress for your buttock augmentation and Brazilian buttock lift, see you for follow-up examinations, and answer any questions you have during your recovery period.
