Cool Peel Co2 Laser Treatment

Over time, the skin loses its elasticity; that’s why you may notice more and more wrinkles and fine lines on your face as you age. There are a number of cosmetic procedures that can minimize these age markers, but few work as effectively as the Cool Peel CO2 laser. This advanced laser technology provides a non-invasive way to eliminate not only wrinkles, but also acne scars, age spots, and other blemishes.

The problem with traditional CO2 laser treatments is that they can be quite aggressive. Traditionally, these deep penetrating treatments have come with considerable downtime and recovery. However, a new generation of CO2 laser resurfacing has arrived with the Tetra Cool Peel CO2 laser – finally, this laser offers a chance to get the toned, wrinkle-free skin you’ve always wanted without a long downtime or extended post-procedure recovery.

We’re proud to provide CoolPeel CO2 laser treatments at H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery. If you have any questions about the procedure, contact us to set up a consultation to explore your options. In the meantime, here’s a brief overview of how the procedure works.

Breast Augmentation FAQS

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a versatile skin treatment that targets various skin concerns such as sun damage, brown spots, redness, broken capillaries, and uneven skin tone. It helps improve skin texture, reduce pigmentation, diminish fine lines, and even out the complexion, resulting in a clearer and more youthful appearance.

The effects of IPL can last several months to a year, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you protect your skin from sun exposure. A series of treatments is usually recommended to achieve the best results, followed by maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months.

While IPL primarily targets pigmentation and vascular concerns, it also stimulates collagen production, which can lead to mild skin tightening over time. However, it is not primarily designed for significant skin tightening; treatments like radiofrequency or laser resurfacing might be better options if your primary goal is skin tightening.

IPL is an excellent choice for treating pigmentation, sun damage, and vascular lesions, but whether it’s the best laser for you depends on your specific skin concerns and goals. Other lasers, such as fractional lasers, may be better suited for deep wrinkles, acne scars, or significant texture issues. A consultation with a skincare professional will help determine the most appropriate treatment for your needs.

IPL is best suited for lighter skin types (Fitzpatrick I-III) as it targets pigmentation and may cause discoloration in darker skin tones. Those with darker skin types or certain skin conditions may be better suited for alternative treatments like chemical peels, microneedling, or other laser options.

Yes, IPL is highly effective in removing brown spots, sun spots, age spots, and freckles. The light energy targets melanin (pigment) in the skin, breaking it down so that it fades and gradually disappears over a series of treatments.

Immediately after an IPL treatment, your skin may appear slightly red, swollen, or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. Dark spots may temporarily darken before flaking off, revealing clearer skin beneath. Most redness subsides within a few hours, and the darkened spots usually fade within a week.

You can usually return to work immediately after IPL treatment, as there is minimal downtime. However, it’s best to avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat for 24-48 hours to minimize redness and swelling.
